Sarlaka
So im makeing my vault door, iv done everything to make it, but when i go into the fallout NV data folder, there is no Texture or Meshes folder, tho i do see in the data folder where it says "Fallout - Textures" but its a Bethesda Archive. I know some people say make the folder your self, i have done that already and placed the modded door files in the folders, but when i load up G.E.C.K. and look for my mod, its not in there. I really don't know what else to do. Im useing the "Make Your Own Vault Doors -Blank and 74 Too-" mod from fallout 3, since thats the only mod with blank doors. Could maby some mod programs be takeing the Textures and Meshes folders out or something? All i have is the G.E.CK. FOMM, NMM, Paint.Net, NifScope, GIMP, and DDS Converter 2. I dout it does have any effect on the folders. I have also notice the folders being there before, but now when i need them most its not there. So if anyone can help me and maby others about the folders, or maby even how to re-add them the right way, would be vary thankful.
DizzasterJuice
In the new meshes and textures folders that you made, create another sub-folder in each, name them both "architecture" or whatever you want really, and place the textures and meshes in their respective sub-folders. Then open the mesh in nifskope and apply the texture and save (select from data/textures/architecture folder). Now in geck go to WorldObjects/Door....open any door then change ID name and change the model to the one you want to use (select from data/meshes/architecture folder). Then when you close that window it will ask you if you want to make a new form...answer yes and you have a new door. Once you drop it into your cell you'll have to link the teleports and set lock type, etc. but I'm sure all that is in the tutorial.
