Gamerbird Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 I have a lot of time on my hands recently and I am trying to get in to modelling for Oblivion.I have tried blender, milkshape and wings3d but found them to hard or awkward to use. So what would the modellers of the forum recommend me using for modelling?Or are one of the ones I have tried the best to use? Please post and advise me on what would be best!
LoginToDownload Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 I actually like Blender. All of them take some serious getting used to, as far as I can see...
Gamerbird Posted October 5, 2008 Author Posted October 5, 2008 Is Blender what you would recommend me to use then?
alex2avs Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 I'm using Blender too..and it's pretty goodand pretty easy to learn
Gamerbird Posted October 5, 2008 Author Posted October 5, 2008 I found it rather hard to get around.I suppose I could find some tutorials on how to use it.Although any other software that people could advise would help!
LoginToDownload Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 You might take a look at the Construction Set Wiki's Modeling Tutorials. They've got Blender ones in spades. Also, if you have a lot of time, it might be worth looking into the Blender 3D: Noob to Pro Wikibook.
Gamerbird Posted October 5, 2008 Author Posted October 5, 2008 Thanks for the link!I am going try to try 3DS Max as well.
paintballmaster254 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Personally I think Cinema 4D is one of the easiest moddeling programs to use, and has quite a few powerful tools. Unfortunatly it doesn't have a plugin to export in nif format, ut I just export to 3Dmax or blender for that. I moddel everything in C4D, I've tryed Max but cant figure it out.
