Uh.. anyone home? We are still doing this, I am just wating for a few more brave/reckless souls to become enslaved by this.. I have a lot planned, but I cannot begin as of yet.. Anyone with a mind for adventure and a good long tale is welcome to join, regardless of roleplaying experience.

If you are thinking of joining but cannot seem to get a good idea for a character, send me a PM at least and let me know that there is still intrest. If nothing happens in a while, I'll have the mods shut this down.. A thing I would hate to do.

None the less, there is no reason why I should continue with an endevor that has no support..

I'd like to join but i'd like to be an Imperial soldier. However, that means that i'll start with more than just the clothes on my back. Don't worry though, i've got one helluva disaster lined up to happen to this guy so that probably balances it.

Name: Julius Caecilius Haterius (Yes, it is the same guy as in A New Power)

Gender: Male

Age: 28

Profession: Imperial Legionary

Equipment: Full set of standard issue Imperial Steel armour and a standard issue Imperial steel broadsword as well as an Imperial shield.

Background: Julius's father was a small time smuggler of rare antiquities. Julius was raised by his father to be at least as tough as everyone else in the hard underground world of smuggling that his father wished for him to join. However, Julius was capable of thinking for himself and had plans to join the Imperial legion. At 17, Julius reported his father in to the Imperials in exchange for a junior officership in the Imperial Legion. After a tough ten years of campaigning all over the Empire, he has recently been posted to Ganmok. His long years of brave service for the Empire have also earned him several minor decorations in recognition of his achievements, he is now on the verge of a promotion to the rank of Captain. However, he is known in his regiment for having a short temper and being very harsh towards friends and enemies alike, he has often disobeyed direct orders before in the heat of battle to do what he thought best, although he always was successful and the Legion believed that the ends justify the means, he is also capable of making rash decisions and has been reprimanded three times already for minor insubordination and rudeness to officers.

Appearance: When he was 17, and before he joined the Imperial Legion, he had been a handsome lad whom his father was proud of and could have made a dashing swashbuckling pirate. Now however, too many years of fighting have taken their toll and his once radiant and youthful face is now grey and pitted and a livid scar runs across his left cheek. His once long, blonde hair is now closer to a gritty brown colour and is cut short in the regulation haircut.

Thanks for the feedback: Has been edited as recommended. I've added a bit of extra character description in as well. I've now got the cause of the disaster in place...

You want my feedback... ooohhhh... ill give YOU feedback!!

Me and MDRud216 have posted several times on this very subject... DWEMER ARTIFACTS!!!!! ARG!.. I must have stated someplace that this was not a Morrowind based RPG didn't I?...

Maybe not.. Little bit too much exaggeration with that. Just edit the post to something a bit more "generic" like antiquities, or illegal goods.. You don't have to be specific.

As for the actual character, he looks good. Remember that you will be participating in this RP as a group.. And will therefore need a good reason to work with a couple of outlaws... If you want to make some slight changes, be my guest, it may serve you better.

The city names should be stated in there.. I'll look again after I finish this post, as I will be working on some more lore to add to the world..

It is very possible that we could start this afternoon (its about 4:00 EST). Perhaps if we had another person or two it would be a bit more "flavorful".. But if you guys want to get going we don't have to wait.. Let me know and I'll make the RP thread..

EDIT: Remember to dress warm.. It WILL be cold..

Awsome.. Now for what I've come up with in the past few hours.

It's not much.. but it answers a question or two..

Fangrim Lore

-- The Imperial Capital and Fort makes up the city of Ganmok. It's a mistake that it wasn't said on the map.

-- North of Everend is the Shinja'hii Pass, which cuts into the Whitespine Mountain Range. The name "Shinja'hii" is translated to "Whitespine Mountain Runners"; the path was used in ancient times to allow messengers and merchants to pass through the mountains..

The Plauge

-- The Plauge has many symptoms.. But most of the time the patient dies before proper analysis of the condition can be concluded. Here are a few things to look out for.

1) The plauge is most destructive and widespread in dense urban areas... Rural towns are easily isolated and can be saved early on. However, dense population areas, especially those close to the Ash Wastes, should be avioded. Residents should remain within the city, but refrain from contact with other people until the outbreak is deemed "isolated".

2) Though the Ash Wastes do not seem related, the plauge is more common in those areas nearby.. This is assumed to be because the poison clouds, which ocasionaly drift out of the wastes and into nearby areas (dissapating almost immediatly), cause damage to the immune system. Thus, in their weakened state, residents are more likely to catch the plauge.

3) The most heart wrenching part of the plauge is that for the last 12 hours, the patient is no longer contagious. Thus, the family can visit with the patient.. Though they are assured of their death, and usually are dead by the next dawn. While it may seem cruel, often the families refuse to visit patients who are in this stage.. Not because they shun the plauged ones, but out of a mix of fear. Fear both for thier own emotions, and most refuse to belive that the plauge is no longer contagious during that time...

4) The disease progresses slowly.. Often the preliminary symptoms are encountered long after the patient has been spreading the sickness and even then seem only like a common cold. It comes in spurts as well, making it even more unpredictable. First, it comes as a dry throat and cough, then, after a pause of no symptoms, escalates to a mild fever, then it goes away for a little while. Again it comes back, but this time it comes very suddenly. Almost like a heart attack, it hits its victim with severe chest, neck, and back pain.

Often this is enough to cripple them to the floor.. And has developed the practice of people in a crowd bolting everytime a man/woman falls to the ground, even if they simply triped on a rock or lost thier balance.. Nothing seems safe.

After this point, the illness progresses very rapidly. The pateint is bed ridden for the rest of their lives, though most is spent unconcious. Black spots or patches often develop on the skin, and is a tell-tale sign that this is the plauge, and that it is still contagious..

In the last 12 hours these black marks go away compleatly, and the victim becomes very pale.. Pigment seems to flee their skin, and the flesh beneath it does the same. Victims often look as if they had already been in the grave for weeks by the time they die.

The only peace they can be granted is that they will most likly die in thier sleep and they will soon be in the next world. Those who stay awake experience nothing but immmense pain in thier final hours.. Many who are unfortuanate enough to stay awake during thier final hours are driven mad and put to death before they would have died...

5) Naturally, the dead and all their belongings are burned after they die. As well as everything in the house of those who lived with them. Many times, they save the effort and just burn down the whole house..

In the Empire (which is not the same as the morrowind empire), citizens are reimbursed when a loved one is felled by the plauge. They are provided a new house and money to replace thier belongings. They are, however, held in quarintine until the outbreak has subsided. Having direct contact with the one who had contracted the plauge means they are most likely carring it themselves. They are only fed and lodged poorly until the outbreak is over and they recive thier compensation.

Always prepare for the worst...

I would advise not to start the RPG until you have at least five active members... A New Power was in the hole for a while with only two players, lasted a few weeks and was very boring.

glad to see we have Peregrine joining the RP, none are complete without him :D .

Meh, I have no problem working with a "group" of one person.. Thats usually what I'm forced into working with, and it doesn't bother me.

If you wish to wait until we have one or two more people (and until Peregrine has his charecter up) thats fine with me.. I will post the RP Thread when you ask then.

BTW, Everybody.. You MUST start in the city of Everend. I am not going to drive the party north quite yet. This is NOT an option.. And I'm not angry with anyone, just making sure it is clear.. Won't say why you have to be there as of yet.

And isn't Peregrine the one we always suck up to? Why not Dark0ne, or Malchik, or any of the various other people who keep tabs on the forums... Why?...
