cmiddlebrook
My original copy of Oblivion is on a very old Windows XP machine. I'm running a ton of mods including OOO, Francesco's & MMM. I've got OBSE, BOSS and Pluggy and probably other stuff I don't even remember installed! I never finished the game and I'd really like the get back into it. However, I've just bought a new Windows 7 laptop and I am getting rid of my old PC so I need to transfer everything over to the new machine. Does anyone have any advice for how I can safely transfer the installation with all mods working as well as save files?
Wastelander121
Get a flash drive? Just copy your Oblivion folder and your games/oblivion folder to it and transfare it to your Win7 PC that way edit: if using a lot of mods get a external HDD Edited August 31, 2012 by Wastelander121

I seem to recall having to go through a convoluted installation procedure to get the big ones - OOO, Francesco's and MMM working together in the first place along with the various utilities. They all came with installer programs though I don't know if they were just self extracting zip files. I'd like to think it's as simple as just copying over the game and save folders but I doubt it :-)
