SirDanest
I'd heard the geck was buggy as hell, but thought, I can deal with an occasional crash, and thought no more of it. Uh oh.Well, it seems that when I load my esp in the geck, every interior, every world space other than "interiors" which is empty, every last cactus, npc, everything, gone. Not just the stuff I made, but everything. Even the entire vanilla library itself of object files, effects, races, etc, all wiped clean. I wouldn't know how to delete all that if I tried, but it's all gone. Obviously I should have been making backups with every save, but I had no idea it could do something _this big._ Unless of course there's a "hide absolutely everything" button that I accidentally hit. :P This is one hell of a horribly huge bug, otherwise, because that's _a lot_ of deleting. Skyviper086
When you loaded your .esp did you also load the FalloutNV master file. If you haven't you'll need to do that in addition to loading your .esp. From what I'm reading it sounds as if a master file hasn't been loaded. I've never encountered such a problem while using the G.E.C.K..

I've never encountered such a problem while using the G.E.C.K.. I select the master vegas file, and my mod as the active file, and it flickers (no load time at all) and it's utterly empty of files in or out of game, not even any cells or anything. Stripped completely bare, somehow. :( I'm horrified that I wasn't making multiple backups, and horrified that there could be a bug or "feature" this serious. Skyviper086
you do know it takes long time for geck to load up right. It even stays Not Responding while you wait a while ... just checking if you knew that or not.

And I can go on to create new stuff, so it's not loading. In fact, I think that's just it. Something about my esp is causing nothing to load, creating the appearance of a completely empty universe with all files deleted. I'm not sure how an esp can actually prevent the data from being loaded, however.
BeefPie
Having a nearly empty world tree is usually when you don't have an esm (i.e. FalloutNV.esm) loaded. You could try a GECK reinstall.
