too bright days and black and white nights

weird thing, the lighting in the daytime is washed out/ too bright and the nights look almost black and white. all other times, load screen and anything not

involving direct gameplay is fine.

Have you tried the game without "Realistic Lighting.esp"? Do you have any graphical .dll based mods installed such as FXAA Post Process Injector or SweetFX - if so have you removed them? Are there any old / unused / unwanted files knocking about anywhere in Skyrims directory and subfolders?
