Grecia300
I have tried everything I can think of and then some to try to fix this, but as my posting suggests, I have failed at all attempts. I've tried editing the windows Hosts file, reinstalling MO, updating to a newer version of MO1 (1.4.3 or something hosted on the MO2 mod page, I believe). I tried editing the workarounds tab. I need help. This issue has been going on for maybe a few weeks and I am clearly not getting anywhere by myself, and I'm at wits end here. Also, 1 final thing : I will NOT start using MO2 for skyrim. I already use it for Morrowind and FO4, so its nothing against MO2, GamerPoets just recommends switching only if your about to start out with a blank mod list, and I'll never do that. And I'll do everything in my power to prevent that from happening. If there's anything else do to help clarify the issue - or I'm being dense and forgetting vital info - just tell me and I'll try to get it for you. Cheers! saurusmaximus
Nexus updated their API and MO1 is no longer compatible. It's even mentioned on MO's page. So if you don't want to upgrade (I'm in the same boat btw), you will have to manually d/l and install your mods. Not that big of a deal really, it's just one extra step. The only real downside is you no longer get the mod info directly in MO, as you have already noticed.
Grecia300
They updated it again?! Well at least I dont have to keep f*#@ing around with it and potentially breaking my install.... When did they update it, if ya dont mind my asking?
saurusmaximus
I'm not sure exactly, I think it was a couple months ago. I was away for a while, then I tried looking at some mod info in MO and got the "cannot connect" error.
Grecia300
Thanks for the info. I'm going to try updating to version 1.4.0 on the MO2 mod page. It was uploaded on May 21st and might contain a fix. Its a fair assumption because the version name is 1.4.0WithNMMFixes, so it might help. If it does, I'll let you know since your having the same issue. Note : I did try this earlier and it went horribly wrong, but I was very tired and could have butchered something, or maybe a faulty download. I made a backup of my install, and will see if trying again yields better results
Grecia300
Hit a snag. Got the Entry Point Not Found error. "The procedure entry point ?key@NXMUrl@@QBE?AVQString@@XZ could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Mod Organizer\Mod Organizer.exe" You able to make heads-or-tails of this? Cause I sure as hell cant. Edited June 15, 2019 by Grecia300
saurusmaximus
Try reinstalling somewhere besides the game directory, preferably in a folder that doesn't have any permissions attached. I use a folder called C:Games for my install.
Grecia300
I can give it a shot, but I think its VERY unlikely that'll solve anything..... been running MO in the game directory without any issues for years :/
Grecia300
Ok, I tried it out, and it seems to work perfectly. I can login to Nexus, download mods via MO, and more importantly, I dont have that error in the log that was annoying the snot out of me. :P However, I also wondered how it would work if I overwritten MO1.3.14 (the install in the game directory) with version 1.4 and it also works perfectly, strangely enough. I do need to setup my toolbar and executable's tho. A minor annoyance. Thanks for the help, and I hope it'll work just as well for you as well. Since you said you were in the same boat. Cheers!
