What mods are on a save file?

Hello everyone, this is a general question I have, but I've recently swapped hard drives and did a clean install of skyrim.

In my previous game I've had some mods that were installed via nexus (not the mod manager just the site) and the steam workshop, the mods from the steam workshop synced but there are 2-3 mods that I didn't get from there.

So now when I try to load my save it gives me a warning saying "Some of the content that you had on this save file is not present" etc. and when I hit ok past that warning skyrim instantly crashes.

So is there any way to look at a save file and find out what mods are associated with that save? I'd hate to have to restart the game all over again after I've done so much.

Wrye Bash is capable of telling you what mods were used in a particular save and in what order the mods were in.

Install it, start it up, and switch to the saves tab. there you should see all your saves in the large window on the left side. On the right in a much smaller pane is the thumbnail picture for the save with all the mods in load order that are within that save.

Note it only tells you what esm/esp files were used, loose file type mods like textures or specific scripts etc.... are not stored.
