ghosu
Hello I could really need some help over here, especially after a few months modding break...could someone pls explain me how exactly bow bones work? Or any good and detailed tutorials around (3DsMax+Nifskope) - just found very basic ones on YT that replace an existing bow and use the original bones. Never had a clue 'bout that, that's why i mostly modded close combat weapons. I only know bones/skeleton from a few armor mods i did...so the armor/clothing piece stays in position when you move. But why do i need 'em for bows? As far as i understand you attach areas/polygons of your new bow to the skeleton so they stay in position and move along with animations (when you draw the bow, release the string...)? Can you create an own skeleton because when i import my musket: http://666kb.com/i/c6z4m9kt8vve3erl7.jpg http://666kb.com/i/c6z8ro8pn125w642z.jpg In normal mode it's messed up and when i reload it looks normal ... because it is attached to the original crossbow skeleton. Could'nt i just delete it somehow since the musket is rigid? I'm really lacking the basics when it comes to the skeleton :D EDIT: Well ok, fixed it...but i have to learn the basics and if it is possible to create an own skeleton or change the shape - and add an own animation. thxgreetings Edited September 5, 2012 by ghosu
