I am recieving to damage when falling....

I have no idea why, but I can jump off a bridge and not be hurt! I am playing a custom race and have a good deal of mods; a quick fix for this, such as a console command or a oblivion.ini change? Thanks

It's controlled by two things, Acrobatics skill and a game setting (not ini). The game setting deals with the rate you gain speed when falling. After you reach a certain speed you will take damage. The damage you take gets reduced by your actobatics skill. Unfortunately any sort of change will probably create a conflict with whatever mod you have that is causing this.

 

It is better to not recieve damage from falls rather than recieve too much. Before going out and figuring out what mod is causing this, you might want to try testing greater extremes of this... Like jumping off the bridge to castle skingrad. It could even be just you having gained enough acrobatics skill to prevent damage from shorter falls that you're used to taking damage from, and not be related to any mod. Or if you have OBSE, the mod which is causing this may be doing this through scripting, in which case a normal setting change wouldn't do any good.

I dont think it is from gained acrobatics. Im level 4 and jumping off a bridge should hurt a little. I do have OBSE; i think it is a mod, or interaction of mod(s) causing this....

OBSE is a script extender used to make some complicated mods work in oblivion. I agree with vagrant,try jumping off something really high!
