Loki180
Hearthfire came out of 360 last night or today I dunno. But I read that it is not coming out for PC at all. I know that is not true! But I was looking around online and could not find much on the date. Is it going to be one month? or are they going to pull a dawnguard on us? I would have thought that Heathfire being so small that it all would have been released on the same date!
sinnerman69
I read that Microsoft xbox bought the rights to 30 days exclusive for the first 2 DLC's There's no sense in speculating this early if the PC user well get a taste of this DLC or not, there has been no official announcement for the PC or PS3 yet, and only bloggers sites with rumors and innuendos, Bethesda probably going to release it for all platforms, they'd be foolish to pass up two huge markets and lose a great deal of money, there not in the business of marketing just xbox alone, and who knows how much Microsoft paid them for the first two DLC 30 day exclusive!.. be more optimistic and don't believe everything you read or hear, there's a lot more negativity out there then positivity this is from a old old song probably around WW2 You've got to accentuate the positiveEliminate the negativeAnd latch on to the affirmativeDon't mess with Mister In-Between Edited September 5, 2012 by sinnerman69

AndurilWielder
You know, there's actually some "Hearthfire PC" downloads floating around right now, but they're all BS. I wasn't sure it was legit exactly so I tried to take a look and make sure - apparently the downloaded files eventually lead you to a website that makes you take a survey to get a password to "unlock" the DLC. I took an encrypted password recovery tool (found via pc support pages, and some microsoft page) to the program, and the entire torrent's file is just 5.1 GB of corrupted data. I say this for those of you who are too desperate to wait for a DLC. Its not worth it, all the DLC out there are just corrupted files hidden well so people from these websites can get your personal info. I suggest just waiting until it comes out for PC. It'll happen, and then you can actually buy the dang thing.
gsmanners
Spammers constantly flood the internet with false warez. Nothing new about that.
Stemin
I don't have an answer, but I also read that Microsoft got the 30 day exclusive for the first two dlc's. The question I have, is do they get to choose which two? Because the space core was PC only, so what was the deal with that? Did Bethesda get around it by putting it in the Steam Workshop instead of the DLC area, or did Microsoft just pass on the exclusive? Some people are calling it a mod instead of a DLC, but it's all semantics to me. Hearthfire is bigger than the space core, but it's certainly no Dawnguard. Some people are calling it a mod instead of a DLC, but it's all semantics to me. Hearthfire is bigger than the space core, but it's certainly no Dawnguard. Since Valve makes the Portal franchise, and Valve runs Steam, I always kinda thought the space core thing was actually a Valve-produced mod (and thus a Steam exclusive). It's obviously Bethesda-endorsed, but maybe they didn't even develop it themselves. It seems to have been an innocent display of good faith to dispel all the Skyrim vs. Portal 2 game-of-the-year debates. Lord knows the average gamer needs to see that kind of creative collaboration; maybe it'll help get rid of the petty competition between the shallower members of the consumer base (you know, the ones who are currently boycotting Bethesda, because they have no understanding of the complications of porting programmed data between platforms, and instead think that Bethesda just arbitrarily hates them for owning a PS3). But I digress... I'd bet Bethesda and Microsoft mutually passed on the DLC contract guidelines for the space core, if it was ever an issue... I doubt they'd wanna use up one of their 2 their DLC exclusives on a silly, minimal mod.

I don't disagree with that, but if that's the case, then I can't help but wonder about the conversation that took place regarding Hearthfire. As I said above, it's not exactly Dawnguard. If I'm Microsoft and I paid a good sum of money for exclusives, I'd want to wait until the next expansion dlc, and not waste my money on something that's a $5 sell, even if it does seem to be something the consoles would enjoy more.
