andros2733
A while back I got dawnguard and 1.7.7 latest patch. Slight spoilers coming up. I recently started a new character and up until the Meridia quest I had no problems. When she takes you up in the sky she sits still and I have to walk to the light to get her talking. After that the quest would stop and I would be stuck in the sky without her letting me down. I got past it by using a console command. Now I just joined the Companions and when I talk to the leader about joining the script stops after the whole "he has fire in his eyes" speech and when they stand still with "This person is busy" coming upif I try to talk to them. I got though this as well with a console command. Now I am talking to Alma after returning her shield and this problem is coming up again with her responding with "This person is busy" and nothing else happening. I cannot get through the whole game with console commands so I am looking for a fix for this apparent bug that comes with the latest patch, as in my previous character I never had this problem come up. Attached is the Boss log of the mods I am using. Thanks for your time.
Pronam
It's not specifically tied to Meridia, it's not uncommon and the other bugs you mentioned neither. A possible reason might be that the scripts tied to the quests aren't processing as fast due to the amount of other mods you have, it is still a lot of randomness however. Maybe it's the patch that changed something, but I've encountered those bugs much earlier on already. If you are currently using console commands to skip quests, try use EVP on the characters instead. Just open the console, click on the character and enter evp. If that works it could be a signal that the quest-scripts (especially the result ones) or AI in general simply does not run its updates that fast. I've tried the EVP method you mentioned and it did not work. I sitll get the "This person is busy"line in the top left corner of the screen. gsmanners
Evaluate package doesn't always deliver the sharp kick that Skyrim's engine needs. You might want to try going into debug console, click on the NPC, then type disable, then enable. See if that unbusys them.

See if that unbusys them. This worked once the quest was complete and the guy was stuck in "this person is busy". Thanks! I have the same issue with Lord Harkon. I'm on the Bloodline quest and had issues with Serana too, had to use console commands to get into the castle cause it was so f*#@ed up. I got "Serana? Is that you?" and a prompt to talk to Harkon, but it's saying that he's busy even after I did every single command on this thread. Any ideas, anyone?
