I just signed up and downloaded Item Assistant (IA) for Grim Dawn. After trying to install, my anti-virus (Norton) went crazy with an alert. Really disappointing as I have not had a single virus from any source in a year. SO I WILL NEVER USE OR TRUST THIS SITE AGAIN... GOOD RIDDANCE......

Apparently you missed the Virus Total report on the file:

https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/4d5d4071d026ba4dab73c3f744fdfeaad9d3c8aa7daec1e1432d39e5b0d4b989/detection

A single detection, out of 70 anti-virus engines, and even that detection only indicates that a .DLL file is injected (of course it is injected, that's how the mod manages in-game items).

Also, reading the file comments is highly recommended: other users also complained about virus alerts that turned out to be false positives.

As other sites that host this mod have noted, some AV programs react poorly to it because it contains a .dll file.

With over 3,300 d/l's and zero reports of actual problems, I think we can say it's clean.

If you don't understand how the mod works or how to verify something like this for yourself, and don't bother to read the comments, perhaps modding isn't for you.
