AxlRocks
I made a 2 story fancy house mod using the shack kit (no load doors), i was wondering if there was a way to block the rain so it's not getting in to the house. doesn't look good at all It is fixable, but unfortunately, both methods take a good amount of work. The easier one is to set up a "rain free zone", which would cover the area inside your house. This would be scripted so that when the player is inside this area, if it's raining, the weather is changed to a version of the rain weather without any rain, basically the sky and atmosphere is the same, etc.. Also, this area's script would trigger "rain boxes" around the home to appear. These are basically a fake rain animation. Then, you'd need to put up zones at all doors which check if you've been in the "rain free zone" and then change the weather back to normal rain and remove the "rain boxes." You could skip the fake rain boxes if you couldn't do those, the scripting wouldn't really be so bad I don't think, and you'd still get the overall effect of rainy atmosphere, just without rain at all. The even bigger hassle is actually giving rain or snow physics. It was done by modders for Morrowind, so certainly it could be done for Skyrim, and possibly even better, but who knows when/if we'll see it. This is definitely the better solution since it would be universal, but it's very difficult. I have no clue how it was done for Morrowind, especially without major lag. But yeah, it's an age old problem in Bethesda's games, unfortunately. Maybe someday Skyrim will get a Morrowind-esque rain physics fix as well, that's something I think literally 99% of us would enjoy.
Korodic
I assume you did not make an interior cell? There is a way you could do this, but it is some-what complex and would basically be a huge way of faking it... Use water droplet effects near the windows to simulate rain, when entering the home set the sky to dark and cloudy (so it has water effects and looks like rain weather but without actually raining. The weather would basically have to be forced (if it were raining or fog) while the player is inside the home. However, if you were to look inside the house form outside, you'd still see rain in it until you actually walk in there. Easiest solution would be for you to make an interior cell and link doors like the rest of the homes in the game. EDIT: Damn it axl, you and I had the same plan XD
Mujuro
You may want to ask the author of Grey Ledge Manor; AFAIK, it does not rain in his home that has no load doors and is wholly in an exterior cell.
