Lord Valarian
I'v see various methods to patch oblivion. I want a software patch to oblivion This drives everyone of us crazy. Oblivion crashes and were blind as to which mod crashed oblivion. We spend days and weeks trying in the dark to figure out which mod crashed it. A software patch to oblivion which tells you which script crashed oblivion. SOMEONE STEP UP and patch it. Please! :P
Hickory
The number one and two causes of crashes in Oblivion -- not counting corrupt plugins and meshes -- is:Too many data files, ie. esp, esm, bsa (255 maximum)Loads of mods installed with no thought for compatibility and load orderThis is why it is extremely important to install BOSS and Wrye Bash (for the Bashed Patch) if you have many mods installed, and BOSS should be installed regardless of how many mods you have. Lord Valarian
I requested it, not told (you) to do it. Oblivion script extender, CS extender, and more. Why? The data is there. Labels for scripts. So, much has been done already. RUDE debugger comes close. I can't get it to work, but the idea is there. ------ No one is up to the challenge? ------- I'm not the only one who wants it. I'm sure. I'm former professional programer myself. People have told me it couldn't be done. I proved em wrong. Did some "This is light years ahead!"(real quote) projects. Time? Sneak in a bit here and there. As most of us do. Knowing which script(if a script is the problem) is causing an error, who else wants it. Post on here. FYI, I used all of those plus more and still had problems. This will save a lot of time. Lord Valarian
There are people with far more experience patching oblivion. They would take far less time. It would take me years for me to figure it out. I'm made the call to arms. It's up to someone to take the call. That's all I will say on the matter. Step up to the challenge.... enough said.
cfh85
I'm a millionaire and hung like a mule  I offer no proof but as this is the internet everyone knows it's legit! I'm not saying you're lying (honestly) but why say " I'm former professional programer myself. People have told me it couldn't be done. I proved em wrong. Did some "This is light years ahead!"(real quote) projects. " ... but I'm not doing it? also, why would anyone say light years ahead  technological progress is generally measured with time isn't it? not distance? Edit: PS I'm not up to the challenge. But IF someone did make it, it goes without saying it work be pretty awesome Edited September 12, 2012 by cfh85
