Modding help

Hey all, I'm new here. I'm not sure if this is the exact right place for this, so I apologize if I'm doing things wrong.

So I just started playing skyrim for PC solely out of interest in modding. I have gotten a few mods to work, but the rest don't show any evidence of their existience. CBBE bodies, and lockpicking pro are the only ones that seem to be working. I installed CBBE manually and the rest through mod manager(including lockpicking pro), but all the rest - 40000 weapons pack, Bandoliers, Luminari, Ashen, and Temptress races, apachii hair, and a few others - seem to not exist at all. I installed them the same way I installed lockpicking pro, which works fine. I'm running 1.3.7 if I recall correctly from the pause menu.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks in advance.

First - what Rabbit said. Then read the read me for the mods - not every mod installs the exact same way. Some mods require something else to work - such as A script extender. (Usually SKSE) Some mods will not work with other mods. and you really don't want to pile on a bunch of races - they typically conflict with each other - do one race mod. The purpose of a race mod is to change the appearance of your player character not the NPCs - so if you try to use more than one the result is usually one overwriting parts of another.

This is updated often so come back later for more.

If you use any of this and have some success - or even if nothing works - please post back here what you did that worked or didn't work. That kind of information can be invaluable to other members having the same or similar problems - And to me in fixing any problems in the blog.

Okay, so that worked for the apachii hair mod, but if I have anything else loaded up, it crashes immediately at the skyrim logo, after the Bethesda splash screen. I haven't looked for a fix yet, but I will keep this thread updated as you suggested. If anyone knows a solution to that one off the top of their head, that would be awesome. No worries though. I'll just be googling and reading the readme files.
