I had that happen to me at Ald Daedroth on my first time through, but I was level 18 then so it didn't have as nearly as high of an impact on me as the first one (made me stay away from daedric shrines like a plageu until lower twenties). I thought that the orc who was in fully orcish armor was some kind of animated creature. Boy I was a n00b then.

try buying a fortify jump spell, creating about fifteen spells (all the same) which fortify jump 100 pts for about 30 seconds then jump.

i tryed this myself and had enough time before i landed to go into the kitchen, make a sandwich, eat the sandwich and clean the plate.

its a little pointless but...

...i was borded and hungry

Hm, most creative death....

Probably when I was testing my 9ft pike model and trying to set the range correctly. Of course this was with a new character just off the boat. I discovered the hard way that I'd set the range too high when my random test swing hit an NPC about 50ft away. For pretty obvious reasons I didn't live very long after that.

donated Levitation potion at Shrine of Daring, then levitated directly upward...for a long time. balanced a padlock on the up key and read a book while i waited. i didn't bother to keep track of how long it took (realtime) for the spell to wear off. regardless, when i hit the ground, i died. i think i had about 350 health.

I was hungry and my character had medium armor, wich I was training (probably 40/50 skilled). I found a rat and decided to train a bit more medium armor, so I left the computer and went to eat something. - it was good! - so I prepared a new sandwich - it was also good.

When I returned, I realized my character was stupidly killed by a rat.
