AAAZZZzzzaaa
I have no idea why this has started, no explanation, nothing. All I know is whenever I quick save the game it crashes without fail 100% of the time. Please can someone give me a solution if anybody knows of any. Please don't say "Just don't quick save then." Because that's just stupid as quick saves are super convenient and I cant live on in my life knowing the quick save button crashes the game... Thx :geek: :geek: :geek:
ReverendFelix
If you use mods you should never; Use quick saves for reloading game saves.Use auto saves for reloading game saves.Use the pause menu for loading game saves. Use a saved over game save. ALL if thee above are guaranteed to break your game save. Always make a new save. Always reload by dropping to desktop, and restarting oblivion. I suggest this mod; https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/42599/?tab=description Trust me on this info man... Or don't and google up some more. But it's mod using 101. AAAZZZzzzaaa
Meh, I just installed Better Saves. Good enough for me... Soooo is there no absolute solution to this in case others have this issue?
ReverendFelix
The problem comes in when oblivion fails to initialize scripts properly. As I mentioned before, overwritten, quick, or improperly loaded saves WILL result in save corruption. What CAN be done, is take the advice from my previous post. I imagine having to start new characters gets old and time consuming, when one would rather be gaming on. Save yourselves the frustration... I hope this helps some one. I had to learn the hard way too.

It didn't take me long when I first started playing this game to realise that stacking quick saves on top of one another was a recipe for tears. And I have to say what a very interesting mod. I haven't heard of that one before and I'd really like to try it. Thanks for the link.
