rlc3094
Hi All I play on a Windows Vista 32 Bit, with Nvida GeForce 8600GT - Which i have updated to latest etc. Skyrim sets my detail to Medium. I have never downloaded any mods. My Data Files are empty. On first playing Skyrim, it kept crashing to desk top. I found a fix, which i think was putting the Decal Quantity to none and may be un-ticking the FXAA, i can not quite remember if i did both at the time.Anyway have been playing for over 80 hours now, no issues at all.A few days back i went to Angi's Camp to Skill boost my archery, when trying to do one of the challenges you have to hit a target far away, even with eagle eye i could not see the target, so i set my details to high which let me set the target, which went well - all completed. As i went to fast travel away from Angi's camp, CTD.I reset my comp detail to Medium again, and changed my Decal Quantity to none, but i am now crashing all the time, could be a few minutes or 30 mins, Some objects & creatures can some times show up blue and frames can seem a bit jumpy at times.I have on the last few crashes received a error message - failed to Enumerate Subscribed Files, but i think these error messages have only started since i have set Steam to offline.Any help would be great - I am hoping it is just me not setting something right, since i can not actually remember what the original fix was - just that it was Skyrim Options - then into Advance and i am sure it was set decal to none. What ever it was i had over 80 hours of great game play - shame if it has to end now, since i see so many people with issues.
Staind716
Try verifying your game cache through Steam. That should fix that error.
Georgiegril
YOu are playing with a low-end graphics card. The issues you describe are related to a graphics card tunning out of RAM, etc. Try reading through the geforce skyrim tweak guide, select options tha and AA t favor performance over quality. Unticking fxaa, playing with AF and AA at Off or 2x at maximum, lower screen resolution, turning off shadow detail would be a good start.
Staind716
Yep, Georgiegril is right about the card and ram. I was talking about the failed to enumerate subscribed files error but you may still have issues because of what she mentioned.

Georgiegril
All that the verify cache will do is fix the enumerated files error, which, as you correctly suspected, is only due to you playing steam offline. Absolutely if you are bothered by that, you can go to your steam account, go to our games library and then click properties. Click on the local content tab and you will see it. This will not fix your performance issues though.

Thanks for that - i lowered a few things and that seems to have done the trick - hopefully i will get another 80 odd hours of play time, before the next issue. Thanks for your help.
