Show objects while in workshop mode, but not otherwise

Does anyone know a keyword/condition so objects can visually appear while in workshop mode and be transparent while out of it.

 

I know that some marker mods already do that but don't know where to start

I don't know if there is a keyword, but a script can register for the "WorkshopMenu" event or the "OnWorkshopMode" event and enable/disable objects.
