kschang77
I have an odd problem that's annoying, but doesn't affect the game. Previously my FO3 just freezes unpredictably. I am running on Athlon II x4 (old system, I know) so I did the config file edit and that solved that problem. However, when I hit "EXIT GAME", the game will NOT exit. It stays in the taskbar "Fallout3 (Not Responding)". I had to start task manager and kill it. I am running it in Windowed mode using Game Companion's FF mode. Works great, if that makes a difference. Any ideas how to solve this minor niggle?
kevkiev
I had a similar problem with FONV when I first started playing that game. Installing New Vegas Stutter Remover fixed it (along with improving performance). Different game, granted, but if you're not using it already maybe try FO3 Stutter Remover. kschang77
I have Stutter remover installed already. Didn't help at all.
M48A5
What are your equipment specifications? What is the install path to the game? What mods are you running and what is the load order? Does the unmodded game work properly? Are you using a mod manager?
TheStrictNein
You can circumvent the issue. In the Fallout Stutter Remover ini, there is an option called "Fast Exit". Change that from a 0 to 1. The game should close instantly upon pressing the exit game button now
