JAUrrutia9
I'm trying to create a compatibility patch for Arcania Armory to go with SKYRE. When I open CK and load; skyrim.esm, skyre_main.esp, arcania_armory.esp (set as active), and arcania_armory(base).esp; I get the errors seen in the attached pictures. They say the following. First Error: "AssertFile: C:\_Skyrim\Code\TESV\TES Shared\misc\BGSLocalizedString.cppLine: 1566LOCALIZATION: Error opening or reading string file." Second Error:"AssertFile: C:\_Skyrim\Code\TESV\bssystem\BSTSmartPointer.hLine: 167Null Pointer" Selecting and combination of the options on these errors results in the CK stopping working. Just testing things. I'm able to load Skyrim.esm without any errors. Does anyone know what is going on here and how to fix it? Any help would be appreciated. IsharaMeradin
may or may not be related, but are you toggling the esm/esp switch on the esp files that will be 'masters' to the compatibility patch? If not, the following will helpmaking an esp a temporary master Otherwise, I have no clue...

Under which Section do i add it?

Blaufrosch
If your problem still exist after that: the errormessage C:\_Skyrim\Code\TESV\TES Shared\misc\BGSLocalizedString.cpp might caused by different language versions between the mod an your game. In this case, maybe this causes the CK crash. Then this may help: open SkyrimEditor.ini and add your language of Skyrim-> for example: [General]sLanguage=GERMAN or, you might insert the missing language strings temporary into your string folder before launching the CK. JAUrrutia9
@Blaufrosch My ini shows:sLanguage=English What does yours show, and are you able to open skyre in CK?
JAUrrutia9
I believe SkyRe is scripted in German. Where do I get the scripts for the German Language Pack?
Rabitfriend
You don't need the German scripts, but first of all, which version of skyre do you try to load in the CK?If it is 99.17 you also need to load dawguard.esm and no matter what version you use you need to load update.esm . Just to make sure, have you tried this:http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/21741, in case you want to load 99.17? Blaufrosch
Pls don't misunderstand me, i'm talking about the strings, not the scripts. I've had the same error sometimes more, sometimes less (mod dependent). Temporary inserting the missing strings fixed the problem for me. Like i said, in my case. My game's german, like me, so i do not get the english (aso) strings. I don't use Dawnguard nor SkyRe, so i have no idea about the original language. I guess...try Rabitfriend's hint first, but if you wanna try that string-thingummy i could send you the german strings via email.
