micalov
Hi wondering if any one knows if there is any setting to undo the error in this screenshot in the spoiler section of the post with a bashed patch? Its a replacer for some argonians and uses new eyes using the standard human head Eyes nif but argonian texture assigned in the eye record, but the bashed patch keeps trying to make it use the default argonian eye nif file. Tried all the import/merge settings I could find/think of and non seem to effect it. I can use a standard Tes4Edit merged patch but with all my mods loaded like WAC/and loads of custom race replacers for NPC,s it causes voice errors so would prefer to keep the bashed patch. Cheers micalov. http://i.imgur.com/BemeE.jpg
DragonKnightBob
Having the same problem; I think it has something to do with either Adash city of magic, or Younger Hotter NPCs, not sure which. If I figure it out I'll let you know what my solution was. EDIT: Solved it. Open up your bashed patch in TESEDIT and wait til it loads up all the masters before it. Go to race, find Argonian and Argonian female. Remove them both. Presto! Still don't know if that'll have any effects for the race balancing project or other mods that affect Argonians, but for the time being all appears to be well. Hickory
Wrye Bash does this to prevent 'googly eyes' -- an incompatibility issue with some races. The issue is with the mod, not with Wrye Bash.

My point was that Wrye Bash does this (by design) to prevent incompatibilities. It is not a Wrye Bash issue, it is an issue with mods that cause incompatibilities, forcing Wrye Bash to take these measures. One very popular mod (no names) is a major cause of googly eyes. dubiousintent
Its a replacer for some argonians and uses new eyes using the standard human head Eyes nif but argonian texture assigned in the eye recordIt sounds like this might the source of the problem. Some races (like Argonians IIRC) look for all their resources in a specific path. When these eyes were retextured, the author might have missed a dds file path back to the source folder, which created the 'googly eyes' problem. In that case the author needs to run his mod through something like 'Automatic-Nif-Changer' to correct the paths. The author might also find 'NTE - Nif Textures Exporter', which copies all the nifs being retextured into a common folder for you, to be of assistance. -Dubious-
DrakeTheDragon
It's quite simple when looking at the image of the issue. The eyes aren't googley at all. For Argonian eye NIFs the textures are more than perfectly aligned. The trouble is the race compilation the OP is using changes the Argonian race to use human head meshes, into which the Argonian eye NIFs will never fit. Now either there's another mod affecting the Argonian race loading after this, then it will even take priority "within" a bashed patch when it's also included,or the Argonian race gets reset to use Argonian eye NIFs again by checking the very option to fix googley eyes in the bashed patch settings.I don't know what settings exactly go into the patch when checking this option, as I never needed it so far, but I'm almost willing to bet on it.
