nipnapcreations
I'm using the Wrye Bash 300 from the nexus site, but I keep getting a headache when reading http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1338606-wrye-bash-simple-mod-installation-for-smarties/ ... I'm used to NMM simple click and all to install. Now according to this guide above, I have to check the files for an exe. then leave them compressed and drag and drop? Or what? I'm not a modder/creator, I just use the mods and want to learn how to do bash patches when necessary. For starters I just want to know how to install mods with Wrye bash, so anybody have any advice? IsharaMeradin
simple:Install the mods with NMM as normalRun BOSS to sort load order and adjust any unsorted mods by handRun Wrye BashIn the Mods tab find the Bashed Patch.espRight click on it and choose Rebuild PatchIn the box that opens up, press the Build button. -- No need to select mods WB will do that automatically, any active mod that modifies a leveled list will get merged if another mod modifies the same leveled list. When done another box opens up that shows what mods were merged with what lists. When you close that box you may get another that asks if you want to activate the Bashed Patch.esp, say YesClose Wrye BashThen confirm in NMM or the game's launcher that all mods you want active are active including Bashed Patch.esp Installing with Wrye Bash is confusing when the mods aren't already 'friendly'. nipnapcreations
Oh! So I still use NMM to install them? I'm a little confused, sorry. I was under the assumption that I used Wrye Bash as the installer itself too. I didn't know I could use NMM and just use WB to bash patch with no problems. That would make things much simpler. nipnapcreations
Also, something way off subject, but I am aware that Wrye Bash/Skyrim doesn't work well with UAC and prefers to have us put them in the C:games/ folder, correct? Well my question is, I use Windows 7 64 bit, so pulling them from the Program Files (86) < the 32 bit folder) and putting them in C:games/ <assuming that is a 64 bit folder? Will that cause any problems?

I was under the assumption that I used Wrye Bash as the installer itself too. I didn't know I could use NMM and just use WB to bash patch with no problems. That would make things much simpler. You can use WB to install if you really want to. But the bashed patch works no matter how the plugins are installed. Also, something way off subject, but I am aware that Wrye Bash/Skyrim doesn't work well with UAC and prefers to have us put them in the C:games/ folder, correct? Will that cause any problems?Honestly, I don't know. Skyrim was my first Steam game. So I automatically installed everything outside of Program Files. Already had gone down that road with previous games, didn't even want to risk it :P
joziewicz
I have a question, I'm new to modding and to all of those programs, so do i have to use wrye bash if my boss log looks like this? Any information would be helpful, because I have no idea what to do. These plugins are recognised by BOSS and have been sorted according to its masterlist.
