sentinel1313
Hello All. Usually I am capable of researching and solving issues relating to modding and load order myself, but this one has me utterly defeated; if anyone has a solution, I'd love to hear it. It's a minor thing, but it annoys me to no end. Lately when I've started a new game, the text for the Orc Race in the character creation menu has been garbled, almost as if I've downloaded a non-English mod that my English version of Skyrim cannot translate. However, I have no memory of doing such a thing (not that I would, uh-duh), and I've thus far disabled about a third of my load order (including anything I've added over the past week) in an effort to weed out the problem. No luck so far. I'm posting links below to pics showing the garbled text as well as the long list of mods I am currently using. If anybody has an idea of what It could be, or wishes to peruse the vast archives presented, I would be supremely grateful. As for any other information that might help...well, I also noticed that any Orc character I make is not receiving the active effect perks from Imperious - Races of Skyrim. I don't have Vigilant installed either, so it can't be that. My follower mods are Aurlyn Dawnstone, M'rissi, Lucien, Inigo, Mirai, and Auri.If you read this far, thanks. https://i.imgur.com/BUPSqWs.pnghttps://i.imgur.com/mbrab0k.pnghttps://i.imgur.com/OwLvp0y.png?1 Edited July 29, 2019 by sentinel1313
sentinel1313
Alright, so after a few days of testing and going through the description pages and comment sections of multiple nexus mods, the culprit was:Women's Faces by veter75nhttps://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/5630?tab=postsAt a careless glance, I thought it was a simple appearance mod, but it turns out that it has a lot of scripts that affect, among many other things, the orc race. There isn't any patch for it available right now, so more savvy users have to edit the .esp themselves to get everything working correctly.Anyway, thanks to everyone who might have taken a look. Hopefully this will be useful to other users who are unaware of all of the fixes the mod needs. I think I'll take a look at Bijin as well as metalsaber's replacers next.
