Anoxeron
For some reason I'm having trouble with load orders. When adding a mod through Mod Manager I have to manually reorder some of the mods for the changes to show up. I normally use BOSS for general placement and then FOMM to make minor adjustments in the order. When I make a bashed patch everything seems fine and everything runs great but after a while the game reverts back to the previous load order(BOSS order)for no apparent reason. Then I have to go back and change it all over again. Doesn't make any sense. Does anyone else have this happen? Is there anyway to lock the load order or am I just doing something wrong? Any help or suggestions would be Greatly Appreciated !!! Edited September 19, 2012 by Anoxeron
GrindedStone
Well I reckon that info is stored inside hidden application data files for the game. It could be a security risk placed on the associated files to the game depending on where you installed it. Also running the game as a Admin comes to mind, because an admin run application has less if any security risk. Though how much this will help after the fact that you have the issue is unknown. Old players avoid issues like this from having the habit of installing it outside of program files an pretty much default to running their applications as admin. People that don't know or care about such things would be open to a large amount of weird issues such as the one you have described, among many other old rules long forgotten. Anoxeron
Thank You for the input and have to apologize for my late response. I still have the same issue but I've pretty much given up the matter to just play. In all honesty I do care and should Know and always give individual games their own designation. I inadvertently enabled full balo through Wrye and totally wacked FMM, BOSS, FO3edit and Wrye in the same frail swoop. Disabled full balo, deleted extraneous files manually and then through apps. Went cross eyed delving through an ungodly amount files (there are NO hidden files or extensions on this PC) and still haven't come anywhere close to figuring it out. I can't even permanently delete the files that balo instilled. Wrye Bash was truly written for Oblivion and the rules and tools don't apply for Fallout and I know this. Granted they warn you that it is in an experimental phase and there are no guaranties and they mean Exactly That. So when I add a new mod (ETERNAL THANKS TO ALL OF THE CREATIVE, INTUITIVE INDIVIDUALS OUT THERE AND BETHESDA FOR THE NEVER ENDING SAGA) I will do so manually keeping in mind the basic rules that apply thereof. Got to say that I have NO issues with the game and VERY seldom crashes with no irreparable damage. Crap I'm rambling - Old Rules Should Never be Forgotten!!! For the input - Much Thanks!!! :) Oh - I finally fixed the Balo issue. Edited January 17, 2013 by Anoxeron
