exanimis
I'm building a mod that adds the world of Pellucidar to Cyrodiil. If you don't know the name it is based on the hollow earth fiction created by Edgar Rice Burroughs (the creator of Tarzan) The problem I have can be seen in this screenshot http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o108/crossbones59/Pellucidar/ScreenShot47.jpg Is there a way to add grass to an interior? Could this be done? If so how? Thanks for reading.
Vagrant0
You can manually place grasses, however placed grasses behave differently to lighting, and aren't affected by the user's graphical settings (meaning that they can't be disabled). Depending on how you are trying to work this, you may just have to make a worldspace look like an interior. Use a custom climate and weather to keep the lighting constant, have no rain, sunlight, moon, ect. Scripted weather mods may interfere with this to some extent, but that's really their fault for not being scripted better. The advantage to using a worldspace like this is that you can have more variation in the ground, can have grasses, can make use of distant objects (which isn't possible for interiors). exanimis
Thanks for the info VagrantO. I have already begun construction of a world space to use in further caves but I wasn't sure if it could be done that way. That would have been a future post question  The world of Pellucidar had an eternal sun. It is always day time so a custom climate is something I know this mod will need. Now to find someone who knows how to make custom climates. Always noon, no weather, it shouldn't be too hard. Then again there is that stationary moon that keeps one area in constant dark  Help!
exanimis
I need to figure out what can and can't be done. I don't know if the sun will effect my cave if I build it in a world space. If if does then I'll have to continue building the caves without grass. The first cavern is about three times the size of the Imperial city, actually the IC's outer wall is within it. I just can't imagine adding the grass one panel at a time.

Use that mod to play around with weather and climate settings. If you make the sun and sunlight black, and remove graphics related to the sun, you shouldn't have any shadows. If the cave is entirely enclosed, the only things which you will need to assign any color to are ambient lighting and fog. Once you have the cave walls as vwd objects, you'll never see anything else. If there are openings however, you may need to make changed to skycolors or textures to look right.
exanimis
Thanks for the advice. I've been running some "test mods" and checking out certain things but I am working really hard on the first section. I hope to generate enough interest that others will add their own houses and NPC's. I want this to be an open community mod that anyone can add to. I know that that's asking for trouble but I'm going to give it a try.
exanimis
Is there a way to change the sky so that the sun rotates around a worldspace like in this sc, instead of rotating over the players head ? http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o108/crossbones59/Pellucidar/sunrise.jpg The sky would have to be only in one worldspace not all of Tamriel. In that screenshot, the sun could just be near sunrise or sunset, which would be why it is so close to the horizon. It will still, always, move up over the player's head at noon. There may be some settings related to sun or moon position, but those would work on a global level and not be restricted to worldspace unless you used some OBSE scripting and had a scripted doorway that could set/revert those changes. Check in the .ini or within gamesettings.
exanimis
Having a sunrise and sunset in an inner world is going to take away from the mod but unless someone can come up with a solution I will have to go with it. Thanks again VagrantO, I really don't know enough to mess around with the atmosphere yet. I'm just figuring out the worldspace thing now. I sure wish I could have a stationary sky though. ihateregisteringeverywhere
How's about simply hanging up a huge shiney sphere somewhere high up.
