Yes I realise I typed Winterhold, thats meant to be Windhelm <ahem> When entering the White Phial Alchemy shop in Windhelm there is no interior to be seen, just a blank dull grey screen with item texts that the cursor happens to interact with when moving around. No other interiors seem to be affected. Suggestions welcome to resolve this. I've run into a situation where entering a cave or building, there's a black rectangular mask that partially covers the screen, but never where the entire screen is black. Well... I should say, it's always black for a couple seconds... some sort of refresh thing while the environment is loaded in the background, (can still hear and afaik interact with hotpoints), but never persistently. For the situation where there *is* a mask (rather than a fully black screen), the best I can offer is to hobble your way back to the opening using the little bit of visible environment to guide you, and grope around until you can find the exit button and can exit the cell. Once outside, re-entering the cell usually results in correct display for me. I have no idea why it does this occasionally and personally, I chock it up to "some unknown code glitch" Worst case you know what to do. Mutter a stream of unprintable swear words under your breath, then reload your last save and chastise yourself for having lost 3 levels because you failed to perform a save along the way. :wink: :confused: :mad: :huh: PS> I can't speak about the missing environment in the shop. No clue as to why that's happening for you, and (knock on wood), thankfully it hasn't happened to me yet. PPS> You might check the console command list to see if there's something that allows a screen refresh. I'm not terribly savvy on that so I can't help there, but I thought it was at least worth a mention. Google "Skyrim console commands" if you don't already have a link to them. vegeirsheim Posted November 19, 2020 Share Posted November 19, 2020 For me it was a load order issue. Initially i had "Remove Interior Fog.esp" above "Mod - Simply Darker Interiors by Simtar123.esp".
