FMod
so ive been looking more into monitors. because i dont play FPSs on my computer (i just plain suck with a mouse and keyboard when it comes to that) i see no real need for a 120hz monitor. instead though, ive been looking at IPS monitors. so my question on this is, im debating between to monitorsi mainly play RTSs and RPGs such as but not limited to:Fall OutUse a TV.Have I said "You haven't played Fallout till you've played it on a good TV" already?I think I have - http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/740528-dream-machine-contest/page__view__findpost__p__5928195Well, I only said it because it's true. There are games where a substandard display will do, but FO3 isn't one of them. All modern monitors are pathetic compared to modern top of the line HDTVs. Well, except for a few OLED and 56" HDR Sony models that cost like a not-so-lousy car. If you already have a good HDTV, use that, just get a low coffee table to put your kb+m on. Get a tenkeyless mech keyboard, or outright a gaming keyboard (sadly none are mech). No, 16:10 doesn't stretch anything, it works fine. Still. hoofhearted4
so ive been looking more into monitors. because i dont play FPSs on my computer (i just plain suck with a mouse and keyboard when it comes to that) i see no real need for a 120hz monitor. instead though, ive been looking at IPS monitors. so my question on this is, im debating between to monitorsi mainly play RTSs and RPGs such as but not limited to:Fall OutNo, 16:10 doesn't stretch anything, it works fine. Still. this is all i asked thank you. good to know no stretching will occur. Hmmm did you notice that Dell 300$ one doesn't have hdmi, funny though i would still get it though even though its not hdmi. the price for a 6.10 monitor can't be beat http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/thumbsup.gifYes. and i think the reason for that is a few things. the monitor doesnt have speakers, so it doesnt need the sound carrying capabilities of HDMI. also i dont think HDMI can do resolutions over 1080p and since the monitor is 1200p DVI would be the choice anyways. and in the end HDMI = DVI anyways so even if HDMI can go up to 1200p it wouldnt matter since the monitor doesnt have speakers and as such DVI is just as good. EDIT: HDMI can support up to 1920 x 1200p @ 60hz (so it would work fine with the $300 monitor) however as i said, no speakers means the HDMI has no advantages over the DVI since HDMI and DVI are the exact same thing, so the monitor has no need for an HDMI input. EDIT AGAIN: im thinking about the cheaper one over the other one. for one its cheaper lol. but im just reading a lot into it and from what i see 16:9 > 16:10 when it comes to gaming. Get a tenkeyless mech keyboard, or outright a gaming keyboard (sadly none are mech). My gaming keyboard is mech. QPad MK85 Professional and it has We  Gaming plastered across the wrist rest. Programmable, backlit and everything and so kind to my arthritic hands as it requires almost no pressure. The drawback is the redonkulous price. It's worth it to me as I also touch type a lot. FMod
Oh, I was referring to 20-30-key pads used for games only. Qpad 85 is a conventional full-size. Out of full-sizes IIRC he already has his eyes set on K90, or has one, I'm not sure.
hoofhearted4
dont have one yet. only thing i have is the mouse, RAM and the SSD. but yea, i dont really see anything that is better then the K90. the price is great for a mechanical keyboard which is huge. i know not every key is mechanical, but they are the less used ones and idrc. the biggest thing for me is how beautiful they keyboard looks. nothing ive seen beats it in looks.
