EatsCookies
I'll cut to the chase, we need to be able to upgrade armors as much as we want, because the upgrade (dwarven) armors are just plain ugly. Steel Nordic ________Steel Nordic ________ (Fine) cost x1 steel barSteel Nordic ________ (Superior) cost x1 steel barSteel Nordic ________ (Dwarven) cost x2 cost of Dwarven Armor Equivalent Dwarven Perk RequiredSteel Nordic ________ (Dwarven Fine) cost x2 cost of Dwarven Armor Equivalent Dwarven Perk Required Steel Nordic ________ (Dwarven Superior) cost x2 cost of Dwarven Armor Equivalent Dwarven Perk RequiredSteel Nordic ________ (Orcish) cost x2 cost of Orcish Armor Equivalent Orcish Perk Required Steel Nordic ________ (Orcish Fine) cost x2 cost of Orcish Armor Equivalent Orcish Perk Required etc... all the way to Ebony. Same goes for weapons, Axes, Swords, Arrows etc... This won't change any ballance in the game, just will allow players to keep the Nordic Theme looking armor for the entire game if they want. I pay modders in Amazon gift cards for work they do. Message me if interested.
Dudeman325
I'm thinking about giving this a shot, but I probably won't bother with the fine/superior improvements, as those can be handled well enough with the workbench / grindstone method. What I'm thinking about doing is making craftable only (no loot, no merchants) versions of leather, steel, and iron weapons / armor that have stats, recipes (with perk requirements), and tempers equal to the other craftable gear. My current plan is to make two versions, one with recipes the same as vanilla crafting, and one with recipes that match Complete Crafting Overhaul. I don't really want to make any versions that sync up with other crafting mods, as I don't use them and just don't want to bother with them. I might also make a downgraded steel plate armor equal to normal steel armor, but I don't see any reason to make an upgrade as its stats are pretty good anyway. As far as arrows go, all versions will probably have BetterSort style names "Arrow - Steel (Elven, Orcish, etc.)". Hang on to your gift cards, I do this type of thing for fun. ;) Edit: Oh, and I'll do my best to include the same fixes as in Weapons and Armor fixes. Edit 2: Finished with steel armor and weapons (+ downgraded plate, no arrows yet). Arrows will only be included in Dawnguard and CCO versions, as it feels weird to be able to craft steel and improved arrows in vanilla when you can't craft other arrows. I'll probably upload a beta tomorrow with just the vanilla - steel additions, with leather, iron, and DG/CCO in the next few days. Dudeman325
Sorry if this is considered a bump in bad taste, but I finished version 0.90 (Steel weapons and armors only, no arrows) of Leveled Newbie Gear just in case anyone was interested.
