Looking for a good starting point with a few handfuls of mods for an adult gaming experience. I just think it would be easier to be guided for the first few days/weeks/whatever it takes to gain experience without too many issues. Being a newby sucks. Id like for all NPC's (female anyway) to look good.. and obviously I want physics. I know Ill probably need SKSE... or SKSE64. I'm not certain about any of this right now so anyones patience and tolerance will be greatly appreciated.

Ahem... as a Starting point get CBBE, Bodyslide, outfit studio and of course Fores new idles, xpmsse plus CPB for the "jiggly" bits, then i would suggest either MetalSabers mods or the ever popular Bijins, concerning armor and clothing ? that would be a matter of taste, do have a good look around and, remember, ALWAYS read the full descriptions and requirements on any mod, ANY.. there are an abundance of mods that improve the rather lacklustre effort of Bethesda when it comes to appearances, spend some time looking around, make a list of the things you want and go for it... do have e wonderful time andremember, it´s always trial and error when you mod your game, ...

Toodles....

Hey thanks... I'm off to a relatively good start. Having a few issues with SKSE64 not running so SkyUI wont work. Not sure is SKSE64 needs updated and reinstalled.... I appreciate ya...

SKSE64.DLL has to be updated with each Skyrim update. As do most mods that rely on SKSE, which includes most adult-themed mods. It can be a real PIA.

Current version of SKSE is 2.0.16. Get it here: https://skse.silverlock.org/

If you have issues, look in \users\{user_name}\documents\my games\skyrim special edition\skse for SKSE64.LOG, which can alert you to mods that need to be updated. A mod built for an older version of skse can prevent you from even starting the game.

In addition there's a thread at LL that lays out which mods have 1.5.80/2.0.16 compliant mods, which are still out of compliance, and those that are now obsolete (like HTD-physics framework, which has been replaced by the HDT-SMP framework)

I guess its gonna take a while to catch on. I just retired. Decided I wanted to try this out for a while and bought a gaming PC last week. My load screen tilde is saying I'm running latest of SKSE64. I get the error code 1 after I continue or load new... a few others. Hell I don't know. Sooner or later its gonna hit me in the face and Ill get it. I haven't sat in front of a computer for 20 years.

Heh...yeah, it can be a bit intimidating at first. I hadn't played a "D&D" style computer game in about 10 years (FFXI) when I bought this on a lark after watching a bunch of youtube videos. Check that link I provided. I had some real problems after I updated to 1.5.80, some of which were because of dumb things I did prior to the update in fact. That list really helped to shake them out. Sorry but I don't even know what an error code 1 means. I'm actually a relative newb myself.

Might post another thread in Skyrim SE technical support forum to see if more knowledgeable people can help out there.

For the record, with skyrim SE, you need SKSE64, and if you're running skyrim SE 1.5.80, you need SKSE64 2.0.16

Yep, I'm running SKSE64 2.0.16. Even shows it on Vortex. Shows it on load screen with tilde queue "skse version"... so I am kind of stumped. Error code 1 is SKSE is not running. And nothing works after that....lol. Im starting to wonder which files I can delete so I can just start from scratch. One of them days

I'm not sure what you mean by "it shows it on load screen with tilde queue"

Dumb question maybe but are you running SKSE64 loader or the normal skyrim loader? (the symptom of nothing happening sounds familiar)

You should be starting the game using the SKSE64 loader, not the normal game icon. (if you knew/know this already , my apologies).

On Skyrim SE main menu, before ya hit continue, load or new game, hit the tilde key. Its jus below the Esc key. The bottom of the screen will change hue slightly. Type "skse version" hit enter. It will tell you which version you are running. Mine is not recognizing skse… soooo. and Im loading from skse64 on Vortex. Ive misplaced something or missed something. And by the way, the lack of condescension is appreciated. No experience doesnt equate to stupidity, but a bad attitude toward the unknowing does. Thank ya... Oh and hit the tilde key again to escape.
