Adding a new furniture entry in geck help

Hello all

I have been following this tutorial https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/How_to_use_custom_resources to try and add a toilet and seat. So far I'm able to see them in my mod but when I double click it in the object list there are no marker options to select i.e. 14. Here is the modders resource I'm trying to add https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/54599 has anyone got any advise on what I'm doing wrong please:)

I gather that you want to make it possible to sit on the toilet? For this to work you will have to edit the mesh and add a marker for the specific animation.

Think I've managed to add a sit marker. Tried using nifskope first but it wouldn't allow it so found a little article that said in the geck under world objects select furniture then type invis in the search box. This came up with a sit mark which I just placed over the toilet. I this correct?

The easy way to add a furniture marker is to open up two nifskope windows and copy the furniture marker branch from a nif that has the furniture markers you want over to your new mesh. Then just adjust the X, Y, and Z positions and the rotation and you're done.

 

Toilets in-game are activators, providing water (yuck). If you want something that the player and NPCs can sit on, you'll need the furniture markers from a chair.
