Ok This might sound kinda stupid, ok alot. That CS in oblivion talks about alot of different program to download like the blender NifSkope mapp texture etc. If I start learning these ( which I have the blender is cool) Will I be able to start my own programs? I am new to programmins I am looking at c++. Just tryin to learn. If you guys have any info and would like to have a student ( teaching is the best way of learning, lol) I have no problem of learning from anyone. I have alot of ideas about new games and really need to do something. my email is [email protected] I live in NC . My main likes are Delta force modern warfare, all of elderscolls. :wallbash: I need help. It looks like that there is an oppertunity to develope existing exspansions to oblivion. I can go on and on but email me or add to this if you share the same thoughts. thanks

Hello Honeybiscuit,

This is not meant to sound mean, so don't take it that way... I think alot of times people think modding is something they can learn very quickly... it actually is kind of complicated, and would take someone a very long time to teach from the beginning... that's where the tutorials come in...

You should start by following the guides of the Construction set, and actually reading the tutorials of the add-ons they suggest, as you add them. Why ask others to take time out to write personal guidance to you... Guidance that has already been written, and is available for you to read! Reading the tutorials is the way to go... and not to scare you off, but actually learning blender and all of the other programs to be able to mod will take awhile (as in months, possibly) and sometimes, it will be frustrating, but as you learn and begin to create, it is rewarding. If you get stuck in a tutorial ~ google search for the answer, when it's not there, ask on this forum, and someone will help you!

I look foward to seeing your mods in the future!

If you want to see what Blender's game engine can do, check out this tech demo called Yo Frankie. It is a game that will be shipped on DVD in a week or two.

If you are new to programming, you might need a more introductory platform that is also fun at the same time.

Give Colobot a try. There is a demo on their web site. I bought the game a long time ago and enjoyed it immensly.
