Hello guys, I'm new on this forum but anyways I wish to talk about about a mod.

I searched the entire google with different type of words and stuff to find a mod, for Skyrim of course, that allows you to mount or pet an eagle and put it on your hand.

I never found a mod or anything in the game like that.

I mean lets imagine for a moment if you can train with few quest and hunt to train an eagle and then with a skill or just with a simple button to equip or mount it on your hand. Something like this, but upper on the hand: http://north-fife.blogspot.ro/2010/05/falconry-at-fife-show-north-fife.html. I do not intend to advertise anything its just a random picture with an eagle.

I'm not asking for a huge mod with scripting and stuff, well it needs some script and you have to be kind of pro on programing. But what is an adventurer without an eagle on his hand or on his shoulder? Its not an adventurer...I mean the epicness of walking slowly into a village with a eagle on your hand or shoulder its pure awesomeness.

I think that few scripts with some eagle poses and modding the current eagles in the game wont be that hard...some keys binds, some textures changes and some sound add and a solid script.

Or even if you guys know anything I didn't find, a mod, a patch, an existing quest, anything...I would be very happy and would thank you.

So guys post any ideea, if you like my ideea, if someone already thought about it, if its already made. Just post anything related to the topic, thanks.

Epic idea. I was thinking of the same thing ever since I started playing Borderlands with that assassin guy with his pet bird Bloodwing. With the press of a button, the player could send Bloodwing onto flight and he'd pick any target in random and attack it with quick and efficient damage.

And your pet doesn't really need to be on your shoulder AT ALL TIMES. It could go hovering around and land in other platforms close to you. Dust, Death's pet crow in Darksiders 2, can be a good example for this mod. He's mainly used for navigation but adding combat into the mod (Bloodwing + Dust, that's what I'm trying to say) would make things more interesting.

you could make the eagle a weapon, when you sheathe the "weapon", it plays the animation of the bird flying away. But when you unsheathe it, the eagle/hawk will fly back and land on your arm like this.

And when you attack it could simply be a "ranged magic attack". Currently there is no mechanic in skyrim that locks spells onto targets so you might have to settle with the frustrating aim and release method. When that happens an animation can play showing the bird flying towards the target and dealing some damage (more animations) and then flying back to your arm.

The problem with this is that making a convincing animation for an eagle flying off your arm and towards another enemy will have to be slow. What I mean is since you have to target and fire, it'll be hard to hit moving targets because by the time you release the bird and it flies to wherever you targetted, the enemy will have probably ran somewhere else. Making it frustrating.

The main obvious problem is making animations. Which I am sure no one, and I mean no one, is willing to do.

Do want, do want, do want. I came to this forum for all BIRDS OF PREY [eagles, hawks, falcons, etc.] related mods anyway! I did end up getting a few that don't involve birds at all, but ANYTHING birds related will do and this sounds amazing!! Please, please, please make it happen!

I had a few impossible ideas of my own such as; birdman race, shapeshifting into a bird, a retextured bird-like dragon, bird related weapons and armors, etc. and I can't wait to see one of these... This summer I shall start learning to mod myself, so I can make some of these come true.

You have a really big support from me!
