Lost my save game

Hello, last xmas I played skyrim up to the point where I finished Alduin's Bane quest. I had to go back to school and have been so busy I have not been able to play. I have two weeks off, wanted to finish the main quest and play the dawnguard expansion. I loaded up Skyrim this morning and discovered all my save games are gone. Don't know where they went and I cannot find any previous ones to restore in windows or through deleted file restoration software. I think I am SOL. So I decided to log on here and see if anyone has any save games around this point in the game? I just want to finish everything without having to start over from the beginning. Anyone who can help me?

On Skyrim Nexus, a lot of people upload savegames with different types of characters at different stages of the game. If you shop around, you may find something that you like.

Did you do anything that edited the documents and my games folder on your computer?

Nothing I can think of, though I do have two other people who use my computer. They have separate logins though that is not really an obstacle for people who fumble around a computer they don't know how to use properly. I have looked through the save games but many of them are either level 1, or have fully completed the game, or lack description. Was hoping someone could point me toward a specific save game. I will keep looking though.
