Ayanro
I made a face and used the converter to get my face from Facegen into the game. The face is good for the most part, but my Imperial now has really dark almost burnt skin and trying to change it with the in-game face editor does not help. Wow I was just about to make a topic about problems with this whole process, but you're luckier than me. I can't even get my mesh to load right :( If I use Focon, it reports an error (number too big) and won't let me actually export it. I have all my buffers, float and range to the max. Still get the error. If I use fg2ob it acts like it worked, but when I go to my save game it's turned my beautiful girl into that fugly default Imperial male, and if I use "sexchange" with the console, I get a female body mesh with NO HEAD! Sometimes it was even glitchier, and it always ends up crashing eventually. HOW DO YOU IMPORT MESHES INTO THE SAVE FILE? ALso, does Shivering Isles work with it? (I should also mention I'm using Vista :( ) Are there any known mods to completely conflict with an imported mesh? I am completely sick of Oblvion's lame, limited editor. The real Facegen offers more flexibility and room for error.
LFact
Funny. I haven't seen any of my girls turn into default Imperial male. Make sure you set correct race when you import face. If it is custom race, you should point your cosmetic mod, too(If multiple race records use same name, like Ren's Mystic Elf, you should change their name(Not EditorID) via Construction Set or any other ESP editors). Antraxx777
Does Focon have a problem with save games that you name through the console?
Ayanro
Weird. The day after the issues I decided to continue the game anyways and my skin tone has gone to normal.
Antraxx777
Oblivion seems to always have problems with skin tone all of a sudden changing. Sometime you can force it the other way by sliding the age slider back and forth a bit. Personally I grew tired of it entirely and so turned off the texturing completely. You do this by going into the Oblivion.ini (in your Oblivion saves directory) and changing "bFaceGenTexturing=1" to 0. You won't have eyebrows tho, so you need to find a mod that subtley adds these textures. I used EX02. Using these methods I achieved a rather anime, clean, pretty look. Anyway to update my previous problem: I eventually did get a mesh to work in the game, but it turns out some of my saves were just incompatible with Focon. Almost all the saves I named with the console did not work, but there were also a couple of saves I made straight through the menu that didn't work either. Doesn't seem to be a consisitent, dependable program sometimes. Anyway, I suspect starting a new game, then saving will give you the best bet to successfully import a mesh. LFact
focon uploaded here is old, and I doubt if there's newer version for current game version. I stick to fg2ob.
