Kasey24
Recently finished the first play-through of Origins. Is there a logical (or preferred) order in which to play the added content? I completed the Stone Prisioner, Warden's Keep and Return to Ostagar quests with Origins. The order they are listed in the menu has Witch Hunt on top. I did that one and it felt like it was out of place. Is there any sense of continuity in the order of play?
WastelandAssassin
the thing about the DLCs in Dragon Age (and with Dragon Age II as well), is that they aren't really part of the main gamethese DLCs are taking you out of your actual playthrough to complete the quests, and that's it, so in terms of integration they aren't really goodstill, they are all rather well made, each being rather unique as a logical order, i would believe that Return To Ostagar should come first, as it is the most pressing matter, and after that Warden's KeepWitch Hunt is a rather ending story, as it deals with a certain witch that ran away before a certain end fight (yeah, rather spoylerish comment)and Stone Prisoner is fun but not really related, but you can use it well in your fights if you want to hope that answers it
Thandal
Here's a relatively accurate set of DA dates, but with the DLC arranged in the order they were released (so LS isn't first...) DA:O 12-18 months, (maybe longer, if the time needed to accomplish TSP, RTO, and WK is to be accounted for?) Begins in the 30th year of "the Dragon Age" (so "9:30 Dragon".)... TSP any time (after the Warden left Lothering) within the period of DA:O.... RTO any time (after the Warden left Lothering) within the period of DA:O.... WK any time (after the Warden left Lothering) within the period of DA:O.DA:A approx 6-months after end of DA:O, lasts maybe 3-6 monhs (so approx. "9:31 or 32 Dragon".)LS took place about two years before the events in DA:O, (so approx. "9:28 Dragon".)GoA indeterminate, but bounded by: Must be after DA:O. Can be after DA:A. Probably before WH.WH takes place about 1-year after the end of DA:O (so approx. "9:32 or 33 Dragon".)DA2 Must begin after Battle of Ostagar, (since Aveline was there) and begin before (or concurrent with) the sacking of Lothering (so "9:30 Dragon" as well.) Lasts for 7-8 years. This is also the order I usually play them if I'm taking a character all the way through. The game will not let you import a character who has completed a "later" campaign backwards into an earlier one.
Moonmaiden37
Do you mean Awakenings, Leliana's Song, The Golems of Amgarrak, The Darkspawn Chronicles and Witch Hunt? If you do Awakenings is the closest follow on from D.A Origins, which you can import your character from D.A. to. After that, it's up to you which order you play them. I hope this helps you out.
Kasey24
Thanks, all. That explains why I couldn't import the character I created for WH, but then couldn't import him into Awakening. So I was allowed to raise Theron from the dead and have imported him.The timeline helps keep it well framed and that makes sense as a way to complete the series. So far, I'm rather more impressed with the scope of the Awakening module than the WH story. I'm guessing it is the most involved of the additions and so far, it works as a story continuation.

Sync182
Return to Ostagar is probably the only DLC that directly contributes to the main story of Origins. Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep I play for the XP and items (and Shale's handy to have around, too... ;) ), but neither have any direct impact on the main story (other than Shale getting a gong during the end-game of the Orzamar quest). Leliana's Song is a nice little story, but has no bearing on the Origins story other than the bonus items you can get from it (plus the DLC contradicts the background Leliana gives you in Origins). Golems is a nice story to play through, plus the bonus items (and the final battle is damned hard when playing a mage... ). Witch Hunt is a nice ending to the Warden's tale, plus the bonus items. Chronicles...I really should play it, just once, to see what it's like. Shouldn't I...? Plus the bonus items, of course. >.> Edited October 3, 2012 by Sync182
