Have floating white hands when in power armor

I have a variety of mods, including power armor types and paints. Regardless of which power armor piece I put on there are floating white hands that remain even when I am holding a weapon. They float near the hips and don't seem to move if I am in combat or whatever. They just float. Like IT I guess. Any idea where I might start looking for a solution? Is it a well known bug or?

edit: turns out it happens even with just PA frames, and appears to not be every frame. I thought I had entered a new frame but I had only placed new pieces on old frame.

Sorry to necro the post a bit but did you ever find a solution for this issue? I've just started a new modded play-through and encountered the same issue and haven't been able to figure out which conflict/mod might be responsible. I've gone through part of my modlist thus far and it appears that none of my power armor mods (X-03, X-02, Relic Space Marine, Consistent Power Armor etc.) are the culprit.

Sure thing! Thanks in advance for any advice or assistance. I've attached my load order and mod list from mod organizer 2. This profile has a few less mods than one of the others I was planning on playing, but they both appear to have the same issue regardless. Unfortunately the screenshot from steam of the issue is too large for the upload window on the forums, but hopefully this gyazo link will work.

the mod that stands out to me as potential culprit is:

Consistent Power Armor Overhaul - Includes a Character Assets folder inside the Power Armor folder, which resides inside the Meshes Folder

Character Assets generally contain, the Body, Hands, Feet and head of the player character. so this mod is a potential culprit.

i suggest disabling the mod and see if that solves the issue.

Note: i do not have said mod, i simply checked the file preview and noticed the Character Assets Folder, it does not seem to contain anything though, however just having that folder their can cause issues, as the game will check that folder, and since the Character Assets folder always contains all mesh and skeleton files for the player (and mostly NPC), this can cause a potential issue, since the game will check that folder.

so yea try disabling said mod, and report back, if that is not the mod then i will continue to offer assistance.

Edit: i was looking at the wrong mod my bad, consistant power armor overhaul is the mod that includes that character assets folder not fcom.

Unfortunately, it appears that Consistent Power Armor Overhaul is not the cause. Disabled it, alongside Power Armor Materials and Paints and More Power Armor Mods and the fists/hands still appeared. One difference I notice between the vanilla profile and the modded one is that the T-45 Armor at the start has a star on its chest. Not sure what mod is responsible for that, or if its relevant.

EDIT: Managed to figure out which mod was causing it. For reasons unknown to me LooksMenu Body Tattoos seemed to be making the fists/hands appear.

i definitely would not of called looksmenu body tattoos lol

granted i can not stand power armor, so while i do also have said mod, i am never in power armor to of noticed a potential issue.

that is definitely strange though, theirs literally no reference or connection to power armour.

so their is potential that it could be a load order issue, since removing said mod would have changed the load order. i cannot imagine a tattoo mod causing such issues, especially when its lookmenu based, and only in effect via F4SE.

and i have always run said mod, and have indeed been in power armour, and never ever noticed said issue.

but either way glad you got it sorted
