HELP! Mannequin problem

I logged onto the game today to find every mannequin in game wearing elven armor, but when i click on them it says they are not wearing anything, im talking about all homes, castles, towers, every mannequin, all looking identical in elvin armor skin, what do i do, and where do i look? :wallbash:

Wow, that is a new one to me! My guess is that you have installed a mod that affects armour, and for some reason the author has assigned it (probably accidentally) to mannequins.

Alternately did you happen to install a mannequin mod, which perhaps the author accidentally assigned to this armor?

 

If the mannequin believes it is naked, can you still put other armor on the mannequins and the new armor appears in place of the elven?

 

Anyway I'd start by going through your mods, uninstalling and mannequin or armor mods exactly as instructed by the author, and seeing if that fixes it. (You could also try re-reading the known issues and discussion areas of the mods to see if it is a known problem and if a fix is available)

thanks for the advice, i will do that. You are right, the mannequin thinks he is naked. Going to need lots of coffee for this one :thumbsup:

Another thing you can check is the nif file to your mannequin to see if elven armor is in place of the mannequin body....so find the mannequin nif in Data/meshes/actor/manekin/ then double click the manekin nif and click on BBShaderTextureSet there is only one I think and then it should say Mannequin body and not Elven......

 

If that doesn't work for you I may have a solution....I don't know if this will work but you can try it....Get a BSA unpacker like "FO3 Archive Utility" and unpack all your mannikin meshes maybe even your elven meshes and unpack them to a folder then copy and past to your meshes. You may want to do your textures like that to. all that will do is replace the vanilla meshes and textures ..hope this helped you bra.
