Automatic recharging of enchanted weapons

One thing I hate about using enchanted weaponry is having to recharge it. It's annoying to have to keep going into your inventory and selecting your weapon for recharging, especially if said weapon burns out fast.

What I wish for is a mod that would do the process for you. Basically, once your weapon runs out of juice, this mod kicks in and instantly uses one of your Soul Gems to charge up the weapon. Or something along those lines (I imagine such a mod would be customizable).

Anyone else want this?

Third. There's an infinite charge mod out there..but that'd probably cause more grief than good.. simply because now you're picking up all these gems but no where to go to. And you certainly don't want to spend your time sorting out what items to pick up and leave behind for every barrel, box, chest, corpse..

Think of a gun in a some other FPS game..even some of those automatically reload when it runs out, though, you'd still have to find bullets.

Having to cycle through a menu in the middle of a gunfight is totally unimmersive.

In case, anyone still wants it: Infinite Weapon Charges

You still need soul gems to enchant items, but the real 'downside' is that your weapon enchantments are no longer restricted by the need to balance 'charges' with 'magnitude', thus producing the tendency to create uber powerful weapons that leave vanilla enchanted weapons in the dust. However, some self-restraint would curb this.

That is true..you still need gems for the occasional enchantment, but as an ongoing basis, however, gems would be more used for battles. Having automated recharge does not depreciate the need to use gems. The faster your enchantment consumes gems, means the earlier you will need to find more gems. All the automation would do is smooth out the combat process, making the combat more fluid, and thus, more enjoyable. Edited by Aeruja

NOT MAKE ANOTHER THREAD for the same request for a period of at least a month. - Skyrim Nexus Forums Moderator

Assuming this the timeframe by which moderators deem to be sufficient for another attempt at voicing our requests, I will go ahead and bump/necro this thread as I see no need to post a new thread.

Anyways, a little more than a month has passed, and no one else seems to have any further input.

I want to re-appeal this mod request to our community, and hopefully to a new and or different audience in hope that this request be made aware of, the need for convenience of such a feature.

A while ago, I looked into Kenny's Lockpick Mod, the one that shows the sweet spot of the lock. There were lots of negative comments in the beginning, opinions of "cheating" and "ruining of gameplay".

While true, it also provides convenience and simply less time dealing with trivial matters and more focus on content that is more rewarding and matters more.

After that time, as people became more accepting to mods, players started to realize more and more the sheer convenience of not having to spend 15 minutes struggling on a master lock, time that would have been spent completing that quest before supper time. If you check out the comments now, you'll see much more supporters and fewer critics than before.

Kenny's lockpicking mod is convenient without a doubt, however, it does so not without penalty. Since you're now capable of opening locks 100% without breaking any lockpick, suddenly the need of finding anymore lockpicks seems irrelevant.

What is suggested here isn't like that, instead, gems still get used, and the need to collect and fill them are all very relevant, just the steps required to recharge is taken out of the equation.

Likewise if Kenny's mod uses up a lockpick every time a lock gets open or not, then the need to collect lockpicks would remain. Alas, Kenny has moved onto bigger and better things.

I do believe there's a large audience out there that would love to see a mod like this that eliminates the menial task of having to recharge enchanted weapons themselves.

If only some modder would pass by and consider this mod, that would be great.
