Adipose
For me, with my limited comp knowledge and as far as Skyrim is concerned, my final assessment is that Win 7 was preferable to Win 10. Afaic, Win 10, with Skyrim, produces far more unpredictable gameplay. This usually means totally capricious ctds. I'm forced to save every two or three minutes just in case, 'cause I never know when it's gonna go down. I've no idea whether it's a result of the RX5700 I'm running, too much running in the background...there're 28, or simply the result of Skyrim and Win 10 not playing well together. Or it could be the AMD chip. I simply don't know. Ah well, Skyrim runs very well...when it runs. So, I guess I'll soldier on and SAVE A LOT. Shadeybladey
Yes, I still run Win 7 HP 64x and I won't be changing my OS until about Win 12, where they may have managed to allow games to be run without cock ups. Plus, never install any game in Progarm Files or Program Files (x86), or whatever the Win 10 equivalent is. And save every few minutes, regardless. A proper save, not a quick save. I have 10's of thousands of saves since 2011. :)
