Georgiegril
Are you using NMM? Your mods should show up in that.Steam's backup works just fine in my experience.
pike8
unfortunately, i'm not using nmm, and can't use steam.i was wondering if there is some manual way to identify and backup my mods.
Georgiegril
Steam is the only legal way to run Skyrim
pike8
the legality is not the issue; the problem is that the pc at my house, where i play skyrim, currently has no internet account due to some problems with provider, and this reformatting thing can't wait because the pc became really unstable. Georgiegril
You could manually copy/paste your files onto a flash drive or the like.Thsi does require you to find where you put them. If you are downloading manually, there is a good chance that there might be the zipped copy in whatever your default folder is for downloads (I made a downloads file, I think the first default Windows offers you is a temp file) The files for the game are in program files/steam/steamapps/common/skyrim and your other skyrim files are defaulted to username/mydocuments/mygames/skyrim I do not think that you can reload a game like this successfully back onto your computer and have it work. That is why pirated games inevitably fail. Your best bet might be to find a friend with internet access, access your steam account from his computer, create a backup through the steam backup for the main game, then make a flash backup of your mods folder. When you get back to being able to use your internet again, you could put them together. However, running the game without steam will be unstable, regardless of the legality of yoru purchase, because it was designed to require steam.
