Question about a pending port.

Hello there,

 

I'm pretty new to the community and thought i start making myself a name by porting mods from Oldrim to SE.

(For starters, heh..)

So, after porting a few mods already i wanted to port another one, how surprising!

 

Problem is, the Author doesn't answer me.. Why?

That's why.. Unfortunately i can't track him down to other sites, like you can with a lot of others.

The Permissions state:

Other user's assets

Some assets in this file belong to other authors. You will need to seek permission from these authors before you can use their assets

Upload permission

You can upload this file to other sites but you must credit me as the creator of the file

Modification permission

You must get permission from me before you are allowed to modify my files to improve it

Conversion permission

You are not allowed to convert this file to work on other games under any circumstances

Asset use permission

You must get permission from me before you are allowed to use any of the assets in this file

Asset use permission in mods/files that are being sold

So, what do i do now? Because of that i can't talk to the author, i don't know what to do.

As for the permissions, i'm not allowed to convert to a different game.

Does that include Porting to SE?

Of course you can't port to SSE without explicit permission from the author (if the author doesn't allow it on the mod page). Looking at the author's last access date, it seems that he is not currently active on Nexus. You just have to wait or try another contact (eg SNS or Discord) if you have one. I've waited up to a year to get some mod translation permission.

 

EDIT: Of course there should be no problem if you just port to SSE and use it personally. The problem is to make it public on Nexus or another site.
