acelogan Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 I have an odd situation happening between the load order of EVE and MMM. I went to try editing one of my add-ons in FO3Edit so it will work properly (RobCo Certified), but I ran into an error with another mod - so of course I can't make any edits. For some reason it reports this;<Exception: "EVE - MMM Patch.esp" requires master "Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Broken Steel.esp" to be loaded before it.> However, I can't seem to get the NMM to allow the "EVE - MMM Patch.esp" to be placed below the "MMM - DLC Broken Steel.esp" in the LOrder. Anyone have any idea what that's about?
BlackRampage Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Have you tried to run BOSS to see if that automatically sorts it in the correct order?
acelogan Posted September 28, 2012 Author Posted September 28, 2012 Have you tried to run BOSS to see if that automatically sorts it in the correct order? Yes, I tried BOSS and it didn't 't fix it.It just seems odd that BOSS and NMM insist on placing it above the original MMM .esp files, and won't allow me to manually place them into the right order.
BlackRampage Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Exactly where did you get this EVE - MMM patch? Does this patch have the .esm flag enabled in it's file header. In other words: Was the patch master-updated?

In other words: Was the patch master-updated? Well, I got things working. Apparently I had a messy merged file for the EVE - PI Merger, as well as some badly packaged mods leaving Parent folders instead of merging into the Data folder.I had to do a little manual cleaning in there, along with activating the mods in a particular order, and now all is good - so far. I think I will download FOMM though and start using that instead, for a cleaner, more organized, and manageable load.

In other words: Was the patch master-updated?Just for clarity - because I never actually answered your question - I got those from the Paradox Ignition The Mergers presents EVEThey were in a folder labeled "Compatibility Patches"The "ReadMe" really doesn't say much about themPARADOX IGNITION presents THE MERGERS:EVE COMPATIBILITY PATCHESCREATED: 09/23/2011REVISION: N/APage: 3This file will basically just explain the load order that these EVE compatibility patches need to be ran in conjunction with other mods including the Master Fix.And then it just provides a LoadOrder that I'm not going to bother listing because it's pretty self explanatory. I currently have them deactivated because of the issues I have had with them; mostly that they continuously refuse to be placed below their requirement master .ESPs - as suggested by the ReadMe.Only once was I somehow able to get them to place properly in the load order (by some miracle, either fixed with a VERY particular activation process, or master updating), but that was short lived.I likewise suspected they were causing conflict crashes when activated along with Blackened, but I cannot be certain. Which is "They" ? I ask be because in the files header "EVE.esm" ist says this (WJS, Fallout 3 Master Team, Merging done by Tommy(hairylegs222), uploaded by Robert(robert01) which is Remastered as it is now, so there is a history and records I have to this effect. Kitty The (apparently outdated and redundant) compatibility patches from Paradox Ignition;EVE - MMM patch.esp EVE - FWE patch.esp When I read the Remastered ReadMe, and they referred to the EVE compatibility patches being for the Paradox Ignition EVE files, it should have dawned on me that the patches might have been utilized in Remastered. But now I know.
