bben46
Not much info to go on, here is some generic help though. Here is a link to my troubleshooting blog. http://s1.zetaboards.com/bbenlibrary/topic/4751769/1/#newThis is updated often so come back later for more. If you use any of this and have some success - or even if nothing works - please post back here what you did that worked or didn't work. That kind of information can be invaluable to other members having the same or similar problems - And to me in fixing any problems in the blog. KnightRangersGuild
OK I will try better to explain. My game does not lag, what I mean by "Lag Spikes" is that it kinda freezes like for 8 seconds. It freezes for 8 seconds every 30 or so seconds. So it's not regular lag. What the deuce is causing this please help.

aznchicken
You know, I had this same issue a few years ago with Fallout 3, or at least what you have described is veeery similar to what I had been experiencing. My 2 previous posts (ever) were concerning that issue, and that thread seems to be long gone. I know what you're going through, very game-breaking. Now it's been some time, and I have no reference point beyond my own memory, but I remember the cause of the issue being an audio-related program (an audio-decoder program like ffdshow) that was installed on my computer. Sadly, I don't remember what the name of it was, but I remember going through my Add/Remove Programs list and uninstalling it that way. Don't ask how some completely unrelated program affected my game, but that was the case. Seeing as Fallout and Elder Scrolls are Bethesda, I'm just throwing this out in an effort to assist as best I can. I know there's not much to go on in my post, but I'll try googling some words and hopefully I'll locate the program.
Georgiegril
Lag spikes... In addition to the above post... My guess is that you are probably dealing with a service or process that is intermittently taking priority and sucking up your Ram. Something like an external drive or cloud sync tried to make a connection, or IM, maybe an auto update? Some sort of audio process could do it too, as the above poster suggests.Have you turned off all unnecessary processes/services, and also background applications like your browser? However, if you are using mods like SkyMo or deadly dragons or others that spawn a lot of creatures or the like, the lags could be a pause while the game engine spawns them. Especially if you are running in 7 or 9 ugridstoload, where you are loading a lot more of the game world--you could be spawning things that you can't see and may not encounter right away. I have no idea how this got there. Could this be the problem? Thanks for you help

I was just trying to avoid that because I have so many mods, I have over 200.

Can you post your computer specs--drivers, GPU, CPU, MOBO? Where did you see the NVidia Drivers on your computer? (What folder)
