Modify Lydia's armor!?!

Hey guys! (sorry, I'm new here) Sometimes Lydia disappears, but that's not the problem. Cuz when that happens, I just use the console to summon here with player.placeatme. But then she'll be "new" for me and then she has the iron armor she started with and the topics aren't greyed out when I talk to her, except that she's still married to me. It's so annoying. I gave her deadric armor and deadric weapons, but then she disappears and I need to summon her and she doesn't keep my stuff. So here's my question: Is there any way to modify her standard weapons and armor? And I don't want do download a mod that has only one kind of armor, I would like to choose the armor for her by myself. And since I married her, is there any ways I could get her to stay in my house (Breezehome) in Whiterun and be like a real wife, and then I can take her out as my companion/bodyguard if I want to? Sorry for my English if i wrote something wrong, I'm 14 and norwegian. Thanks -MrTikkiWiki

Not seen this bug before. Do you have any follower mods runing at the moment if so turn them off as it maybe the cause of this.

If you ask her to wait she will wait for a few days and then head back home to Breezehome or if your married will head back to the house you selected from the list (not married a housecale so I can't comfirm this.)

Best way to get round this if she dissapears again is not to spawn her at your location, but instead transport yourself to her location by using the other console command. This way it will not give you a fresh Lydia.

moveto player Teleports the targeted NPC to you. (Works similar to player.placeatme <BaseID> <#> but does not create a new reference of the base object.)

I think the code Olgark gave pretty much sums up your problem: By using Lydia's base ID, your spawning a new Lydia. Perhaps the ref ID would work, but other wise moveto player could work. One note: You mist first have her Ref ID selected for it to work.

Best way to do this is to run a "help lydia 4" console command to bring up a list of all "Lydia" reference IDs (there'll probably be a lot, since you've been using PlaceAtMe), then use a "prid ______" console command, where ______ is the ID of the reference you want. PRID "grabs" the ID you give it, just as if you had clicked on her. Useful for when she's not nearby.

A final note to all this good advice is this.

Once you pull up Lydia t hrough help, If you find "copies" of her that the ID code starts with FF, they are in fact duplicates in your game world. Move to them with that console code "player.moveto #"

Empty any valuables from her and delete her with "markfordelete". when you leave the area, she will be gone. Make sure to save your game prior to this. Incase you make a mistake.
