Ranokoa
Ok so i have finally decided after years of modding that im ganna learn custom stuff. I kno where to get the programs, except i do not know a free place to get photoshop if someone does or something else thats just as good for textures please tell.. Anyways what i am looking for is a simple, easy to understand and fast if not at least making in good time tutorial for them in making custom stuff What i really want to know is how to make swords and those general things. So a good tutorial that will help me understand how without being over complicated from step one on making the model to step done to importing it. how to texture, how to make the game know what it does and how to react to it. Please give me links! As im sure this will help alot more people than me

LHammonds
You'd actually be better off getting GIMP and Blender from TESNexus which has all the necessary software bundled with them along with step-for-step install instructions for each. Paint.NET is another fairly simply image editor you can use (also uploaded to TESNexus). I do not think you are going to find anything that will let you pick up a 3D modeling and a graphics editor to get custom models in-game in a very short amount of time. It can take quite a while to crank out a good model that is also game-friendly. Making textures is a whole other kind of art form that also requires quite a bit of study in the fundamentals. But with gaming, it is NOT just the texture alone, you may need to play with the alpha channel for transparency and lighting control as well as making normal maps and possibly glowmaps. Even if you don't like to use GIMP to create textures, it is a great tool to convert a texture to a normal map. ;) Look in the Article Database here at TESNexus for modeling and texture tutorials. Just about each main site has their own tutorial section so you might want to check into each site. The CS Wiki also has a bunch of tutorials including how to create a sword model. But here is a direct link to the Resources for 3D Modeling LHammonds
Ranokoa
As always Lhammonds, you say it in a way to explain it better then most can even think of. Thanks again! And thanks for the sites. I know it will take quite a bit of time, what i really ment to say was a tutorial that didnt take forever explaining something by elongating what its purpose is. One that just gets straight to the point of every essential thing i need to know. Some tutorials ive read i gave up on because they explains the first step, then explains why the first step is the first step, then explained how it was decided to be the first step, then explained why it was named how it was named and who made it and how cardboard condoms were created and why it was explaining all of this to me. Half an hour of reading i finally learned what button to press to start up the program Blender. Lol. Thanks again! Ima take a long look at these, i just want my time to be productive and being taught something usefull if ima spend a while learning it.
