CTDs With My Own Mod.

A few users have reported CTDs when using my Heart of Thunder mod.

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what could be causing CTDs for some people when others have used it without issue. I suspect a conflict with another mod somewhere.

The mod was built using vanilla as a base so it dosen't rely on other mods to work. The current update (1.4) features a few tweaks to ensure maximum compatibilty, as previously it conflicted with mods that altered the smithing perk tree.

If anyone can offer any insight on this I would be very grateful. If you need any specific info on the mod just let me know.

Hi,

I'm not like a modding god or anything, these are just some thoughts that I hope may help you.

Looking at your mod, and the discussion thread, it strickes me that your mod might conflict with other mods that affect perks and/or spell casting. Especially I notice someone mentioning SkyRe....I use that mod and it requires a compatibility patch for all the armors/weapons (although I managed to get a couple others in by placing them after all the SkyRe mods) This strategy has not always worked, and the result was a CTD.

I notice that you are asking people to post their mod list; that seems like the best strategy to pinpoint the mods that are conflicting. I hope people help you out with that!

As I am using SkyRe, I am cautious about downloading, especially as I'm pretty far in with the character I've got now, so I didn't download your mod, but I do want to say it looks really nice. Obviously a lot of thought and planning and creativity went into it....good luck hunting down the problems(s).
