rotwfighter
Hi, I've played Skyrim countless times on the xbox 360. But seeing the mods of the PC community tempted me to build my rig. i5 3570k 8gb ram and EVGA gtx 670 FTW. I'm looking for mods that will enhance the overall look of the game and make it look great but I checked the SkyUI mod but I'm so used to playing with the controller that the mouse & keyboard feels completely alien to me. And due to the large number of mods circulating here could the wonderful community @ Nexus Mods please recommend like a couple of mods that make gameplay awesome, graphics awesome and make it a much better game that distinguishes itself from the console? Thanks! acidzebra
You could grab a copy of the STEP guide, it will walk you through adjusting game settings and ini files for maximum awesome, install high-res texture mods, and add various mods which may/may not enhance your gameplay - letting you pick which ones sound good to you http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11 Once you have Skyrim tweaked to your liking, you could browse some of the other mods by categoryhttp://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/categories/within each category, you can sort by # of endorsements or downloads, that should give you an idea of what the popular mods are for each section Then have a look at the top listshttp://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/top/ Make sure for each mod you READ the description on the mod page and/or readme in the archive, just throwing a bunch of mods at skyrim is a recipe for disaster. gagoloth
Hello rotwfighter, If you find installing any enb or any graphic mod does nothing to challenge your pc {like me}. then may i suggest ((((((((This)))))))))) site. The site allows you to configure your skyrim.ini and skyrim.prefs to the maximum graphical setting possible i found that this tested my pc to the max. but please read the thread there before doing anything. here are the main settings, Low = Default Skyrim low SettingsMedium = Default Skyrim Medium SettingsHigh = Default Skyrim High SettingsUltra = Default Skyrim Ultra SettingsDNA Ultra Ex = Do Not Argue - Ultra Extended (50% Enhanced compared to Ultra)DNA Extreme = Do Not Argue - Extreme (75% Enhanced compared to Ultra) i currently use DNA Ultra Ex, the setting beyond that is for pc's that are of the best of the best. P.S, Don't forget to backup your ini and pref. Edited October 2, 2012 by gagoloth
rotwfighter
Ok thanks but one more question, in the HD 2k mod it's pretty big like 1 GB and my internet connection is 'volatile' to say the least so can you please post like a like for a torrent or something. I rarely use them and I had to purcahse the Skyrim disc because I knew it would be pointless to d/l with steam with my crappy internet. Thanks
