Mookeylama Posted October 2, 2012 Share Posted October 2, 2012 i've used some "distance" type mods and they added stuff really far away. which is nice but i'm not really interested in that. i use Dynavision to have a far away depth of field so that stuff get's blurred anyway. no, my major gripe is how stuff pops in right in your field of view. suddenly a grove of trees appears 150 feet away. that thing you thought was a large brown rock abruptly gains the details of a house. hate that! i love ugrids at 9. i actually have to look for stuff to pop in. alas, i've heard it can potentially cause lotsa problems. in my own testing i notice that certain set spawns, will spawn farther away than normal with higher ugrids. and i've come across more than one bandit who will not attack and just moves spastically, and i'm guessing it's because they've spawned in the wrong spot and navmesh is screwed up. i've tried ugrids=7, but still see lotsa pop-in, and not worth the risk IMO. any mods that help with this pop-in? even masking it would help. maybe appearing slowly instead of fast. kinda like how grass can appear in waves in front of you. anything out there like this? thank yoooou!
